Projects and defects

How do I log a defect?

Create a project on the Home tab with the + button, open it, then tap + to add a defect. Give it a title, location, type and priority, add photos, and optionally who is responsible, their phone number and a due date.

How do I mark up a photo?

Open a photo on a defect and edit it. Draw rectangles and arrows, add text and pick a colour, then tap Done. You can edit the markup again later.

How do I change a defect’s status?

Open the defect and set its status to New, In Progress or Fixed. The project card shows how many defects are in each status.

How do I export a PDF report?

Open a project and tap Export PDF Report above the defect list, then share the PDF by email, messages or any app. PDF export is part of SiteVise Pro.

SiteVise Pro

What’s free and what needs Pro?

Free: one project with defects, photos and markup, the full site toolbox and one saved map measurement. Pro adds unlimited projects, PDF reports and unlimited saved map measurements.

How do I restore my purchase on a new iPhone?

Open the SiteVise Pro screen in the app and tap Restore, signed in to the App Store with the Apple ID you used to subscribe.

How do I cancel my subscription or get a refund?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → SiteVise → Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Accounts, sync and teams

Do I need an account?

No. Without an account your projects stay on your iPhone. Sign in with Apple or Google (from Settings, or when you share a project) to back up your projects and photos, open them on another device and work with your team.

How do I share a project with my team?

Sign in, open the project and open its members. Share the project’s invite link, or invite someone by email, and choose whether they can edit or only view. People invited by email join when they sign in with that email address.

Someone sent me an invite link. What do I do?

Open the link on your iPhone. If SiteVise is installed, the invite opens in the app; sign in if asked, then tap Join project. If not, the page sends you to the App Store first; after installing, open the link again.

An invite link reached the wrong people.

The project owner can reset the invite link in the project’s members screen. The old link stops working, and the owner can remove members who shouldn’t be there.

My changes aren’t showing on another device.

Check that both devices are online and signed in to the same account (or are both members of the project). Open your profile from Settings and tap Sync now. If you sign out while some changes haven’t synced, the app warns you first.

How do I delete my account?

Open Settings, tap your account to open your profile, then tap Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and the cloud projects you own, with their photos, for everyone you shared them with, and removes you from projects you joined. See the Privacy Policy.

Measuring tools

How accurate are the measurements?

Camera, AR and sensor tools give estimates. Accuracy depends on your device, lighting, distance, surface texture and calibration. Use them for quick checks, and confirm anything critical with a tape, level or straightedge.

Room scan or surface flatness says a LiDAR scanner is required.

These tools use the LiDAR scanner found on iPhone Pro and iPad Pro models. Other tools work on any supported iPhone.

Why does the app ask for my location?

Only for tools that need it, such as map measurements, coordinates (including VN-2000 and UTM), compass and altimeter. You can turn it off in iOS Settings; other features keep working.

Other

Is there an Android version?

An Android app is in development and is coming soon to Google Play.

How do I change the app’s language?

SiteVise follows your iPhone’s language and supports 19 languages. To use a different language just for SiteVise, open iOS Settings → Apps → SiteVise → Language.
